Nutrihub TBI ICAR-IIMR, Hyderabad, invites applications for its Grant-in-Aid Program under the PM-RKVY (RKVY-RAFTAAR) Scheme to support innovation and entrepreneurship in the agriculture sector.
The program focuses on millet innovation, including research and development, primary and secondary processing technologies, product innovation and new product development, cooking with millets through practical demonstrations, and advancements in shelf-life enhancement and value addition, alongside business and startup skills such as marketing and branding foundations, lean startup methodology, business model canvas, pitch deck preparation and investor pitching, export opportunities, technology commercialization and intellectual property strategies, legal aspects for startups, and business opportunities in the millets sector, as well as support and opportunities including government schemes for entrepreneurs, linking farmer producer organizations to startups, packaging solutions, food safety and FSSAI regulations, policy advancements, incubation programs, and exposure visits to processing units and centres of excellence.
Under this initiative, three structured programs are being offered to cater to different stages of entrepreneurial development. The NSTEP program is designed for students focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship, providing grants of up to ₹4 lakhs. The NEST program serves as a startup training platform with financial support of up to ₹5 lakhs. The NGRAIN program is targeted at agripreneurs aiming to scale their ventures, offering grants of up to ₹25 lakhs.
Participants will benefit from comprehensive training modules and access to technical as well as business mentoring, helping them strengthen both product development and market readiness. The initiative places strong emphasis on millet-based innovations, aligning with broader efforts to promote sustainable and nutritious food systems.
In addition to financial assistance, the program facilitates startup interactions, experiential learning sessions, and practical exposure, enabling participants to build viable, scalable, and compliant business models within the agriculture and food processing sectors.
