The Social Impact Award program invites young individuals to submit innovative ideas and receive support to transform them into impactful social enterprises.
The program focuses on developing social entrepreneurship ideas, strengthening innovation and feasibility, building team capacity, and supporting the transformation of early-stage concepts into sustainable and impactful ventures.
Through its structured journey, participants first engage in the Discovery phase, where they refine their initial ideas into promising concepts while building essential entrepreneurial skills. This is followed by the incubation phase, where selected teams receive intensive on-site support and work closely with mentors to implement and grow their projects.
Participants benefit from a wide range of support services, including guidance from international experts who assist in validating business and impact models, developing prototypes, and acquiring initial customers. The program also offers opportunities for public recognition and access to a broader international network. During incubation, participants may compete for a Social Impact Award, which includes prize money of €2,500 and the opportunity to attend the annual SIA Summit.
To be eligible, all core team members must be between 14 and 30 years old, and at least one team member must reside in Germany throughout the program. The program welcomes both new ideas and early-stage projects, provided they have not received significant formal seed funding exceeding €6,000. Previously submitted ideas may be resubmitted if they were not finalists or winners.
