The VJTI Technology Business Incubator Foundation at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute in Mumbai is launching Cohort 7 of its incubation program to support startups in developing and scaling innovative solutions across deep technology sectors.
Focus areas include ACES (Autonomous Connected Electric Shared), Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, EnergyTech, Internet of Things (IoT), and Semiconductor Design. The program targets startups working in Clean-tech, Energy, IoT, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity of Smart Critical Infrastructure, with a focus on developing scalable products, processes, or services that generate employment or create wealth.
Eligible startups may be founded by individual entrepreneurs or groups and must be incorporated as a Private Limited Company, One Person Company, Registered Partnership Firm, Limited Liability Partnership, or any other commercial establishment recognized under Government of India laws. Startups not yet incorporated may apply in the names of all promoters, provided they complete incorporation within three months of joining the program. Incorporated startups must be no older than seven years, with Biotechnology startups allowed up to ten years, and have an annual turnover not exceeding ₹5 crore. Applicants must register under the Start-up India Scheme and are encouraged to obtain Udyog Aadhar Registration under the MSME guidelines.
The Cohort 7 incubation program at VJTI-TBI offers structured support for deep tech startups to accelerate product development, access resources, and receive guidance for scaling their business. By fostering innovation in sectors like energy, AI, and semiconductors, the program aims to strengthen India’s technological ecosystem and support startups with high growth potential.
