Deadline Date: April 30, 2026
The European Commission has launched its applications to enhance international cooperation, intelligence and policy alignment in the semiconductor sector.
The initiative is designed to strengthen coordination and build trust among EU stakeholders and international partners through structured yet flexible engagement mechanisms. A central component includes dialogue-based activities, where informal consultations with global partners are facilitated through neutral third parties such as civil society organisations, enabling faster and more adaptive exchanges beyond formal diplomatic channels.
Research activities play a critical role in supporting these dialogues, including analytical briefings, joint research initiatives, and mapping exercises to better understand semiconductor ecosystems and value chains. These efforts contribute to identifying key market actors and monitoring developments across supply chains.
Eligible activities under this call include conferences, seminars, webinars, awareness and dissemination actions, exchange of best practices, networking activities, studies and mapping projects, research initiatives, bilateral and multilateral stakeholder meetings, media engagement, report drafting, and tabletop exercises.
The total available budget for this call is EUR 975,000, with EU co-financing covering up to 90% of the total eligible costs, and funding is expected to support one project, although proposals requesting lower amounts may also be considered. Projects should have a duration of 12 to 24 months, with the possibility of extension if properly justified.
To be eligible, applicants must be legal entities, either public or private, established in EU Member States, including overseas countries and territories. Eligible participants include civil society organisations, private companies, public bodies, educational institutions, think tanks, and research centres.
Natural persons are not eligible, while international organisations may participate without restriction on country eligibility. Entities without legal personality may exceptionally participate if they can assume legal obligations and provide adequate financial guarantees. Affiliated entities with established legal or capital links to applicants may also be involved.
