Deadline Date: April 30, 2026
The Blue Economy Investment Philippines program is seeking applications to support coastal and marine enterprises in becoming investment-ready while promoting sustainable, nature-based solutions that protect and restore ecosystems.
The focus areas of the program include strengthening investment readiness, refining financial models, integrating nature-positive value propositions, sharpening growth strategies, preparing enterprises for investor engagement, supporting women-led and Indigenous Peoples or community-based enterprises, and welcoming founders from diverse backgrounds building solutions for coastal and marine ecosystems.
Selected enterprises will participate in a high-touch Technical Assistance program from June to September 2026, designed to help founders refine their ventures for sustainable growth. The program includes a 4-day in-person investment readiness workshop covering nature-based solution integration and socially inclusive business practices, a co-designed four-month capacity development journey tailored to each enterprise’s priorities, one-on-one mentorship from funders and investors, technical assistance to develop pitch decks and governance systems, and peer learning sessions with fellow blue economy enterprises.
The program will culminate in an Investment Showcase in October 2026, where participants will present their ventures and connect directly with investors, funders, and ecosystem partners. Examples of nature-based solutions supported include mangrove, seagrass, and coral reef restoration, watershed-to-reef nutrient management, seaweed and bivalve farming, living shorelines and ecosystem-based flood protection, and community-based marine ecotourism initiatives.
Applications are strongly encouraged from enterprises led by women, Indigenous Peoples, and community-based organizations, and from founders developing solutions that contribute to the sustainable management of coastal and marine environments. Shortlisted enterprises will be contacted on a rolling basis, and early applications are recommended to maximize selection chances.
