Deadline Date: September 01, 2026
The Vinnova is seeking grant applications to support collaborative initiatives that bring the public sector and other actors together to drive systemic change in society.
The focus areas for this initiative are complex care needs, inclusive society, and food security.
SustainGov funds change alliances that aim to transform governance, working methods, organization, and culture in practice at all levels, ultimately reforming the role of the public sector in the long term. These alliances work to build joint capacity for system innovation while reusing, further developing, and disseminating solutions that contribute to lasting systemic shifts.
Projects applying for this funding can request up to SEK 10,000,000, with a maximum aid intensity of 60 percent, and projects can run for up to 36 months. Eligible project groups must include at least five organizations from the public sector, civil society, business, or academia, with at least three representing the public sector. The coordinating party must be a municipality, region, or state agency.
By supporting these change alliances, SustainGov aims to foster collaborative approaches that drive meaningful reform in the public sector, enabling solutions that are practical, scalable, and sustainable. The initiative encourages strong partnerships across sectors to ensure that innovation is embedded in governance and practice, creating systemic improvements that endure beyond the life of the project.
