The Vinnova is offering funding for startups and need owners to develop goal-oriented innovation partnerships that enhance commercialization and foster sustainable road transport solutions.
The call focuses on innovation collaborations between startups and need owners to drive a sustainable transition of road transport, enhance commercialization for startups, and strengthen the innovative capacity of need owners. Two project types are eligible: Validation Projects and Implementation Projects, with funding up to SEK 500,000 for Validation Projects and SEK 750,000 for Implementation Projects. Projects must include co-financing of at least 25% at the project level.
The program aims to foster goal-oriented, mutually beneficial innovation collaborations that contribute to sustainable road transport and strengthen Swedish competitiveness. Only collaborative projects where the startup company is the beneficiary are eligible, and both Swedish and foreign knowledge-intensive startups can participate alongside established need holders. Validation projects focus on testing and verifying innovation concepts, while Implementation projects target scaling and applying solutions in real-world settings.
This initiative provides a platform for startups and need owners to combine expertise, accelerate innovation cycles, and achieve measurable impact in sustainable mobility. By participating, startups can gain funding, practical support, and opportunities to strengthen their market presence while addressing critical needs in the transport sector.
