The Business Reports for SMEs Grant Scheme offers funding to support SMEs in creating external consultancy reports to improve efficiency, competitiveness, and investment readiness.
The scheme focuses on promoting entrepreneurship, facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas, fostering the creation of new firms including through business incubators, enhancing sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs, and supporting job creation through productive investments. It also aligns with the broader policy objective of building a more competitive and smarter Europe by promoting innovative economic transformation and regional ICT connectivity.
Through this program, SMEs with limited in-house resources can access financial support to contract external expertise needed to generate high-quality business reports that inform strategic decisions and strengthen operational performance. The scheme ensures that enterprises receive tailored insights to improve competitiveness and optimize internal processes. The grant value is set at a lump sum of €4,000, representing an aid intensity of 80% of the eligible costs.
The grant scheme has an operational duration until 31st December 2026, with an initial budget of €1,350,000 allocated from 1st January 2024, contributing to a total budget of €1,500,000. Projects financed under the scheme are required to be implemented within a fixed period of six months from the date of the Grant Agreement.
Eligible applicants include legally registered micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises engaged in economic activity. Organizations without independent legal personality must be properly registered under relevant civil law provisions to qualify. The scheme targets enterprises that aim to leverage consultancy support to accelerate growth, competitiveness, and sustainable development in the European SME sector.
