Deadline: 30-April-2026
The National Research, Development and Innovation Fund is requesting applications from Hungarian organisations to support participation in European Partnership projects co-funded by Horizon Europe.
The call focuses on strengthening strategic cooperation between Hungarian organisations involved in European Partnership projects, enhancing their experience in international R&D collaboration, stakeholder engagement, open science techniques, data management, and impact-oriented approaches, providing networking and capacity-building opportunities, and laying the foundations for future scientific and economic cooperation through established partnerships.
The call covers sub-programmes and topics including Biodiversa+, Water4All, CETP, DUT, ERA for Health, Brain Health, and Agroecology. Eligible project objectives include basic research, applied (industrial) research, and experimental development, while activities such as project support, travel, and purchase of equipment or intangible assets are not independently eligible.
Funding is available with a total budget of HUF 1,164,000,000 for 2024, HUF 2,972,444,075 for 2025, and HUF 1,809,180,000 for 2026. Eligible applicants include Hungarian members of consortia in joint international projects recommended for funding, or those joining consortia post-evaluation, encompassing businesses, non-profit companies, accredited higher education institutions, and budgetary organisations registered in Hungary or with a branch office in Hungary.
This opportunity enables Hungarian organisations to actively participate in European Partnerships, gain expertise in Horizon Europe projects, and strengthen their international R&D collaborations while contributing to the country’s scientific and economic development.
