The European commission is seeking grant applications to support initiatives that strengthen the fight against fraud, corruption, and other illegal activities affecting the financial interests of the European Union.
The programme focuses on reinforcing investigative capability and capacity of national authorities, including their digitalisation, enhancing transnational cooperation, providing specialised equipment and IT tools, boosting staff exchanges, supporting national investigations, building IT capacity, increasing data exchange, and organising specialised training, workshops, conferences, and studies to improve cooperation and coordination between departments responsible for protecting EU financial interests.
Actions eligible for funding include the acquisition and maintenance of digital forensic equipment and software, mobile forensic tools, computer forensic collaborative systems, updates of existing software systems, and training to ensure staff can effectively use these tools. Cross-border cooperation and exchange of best practices at the operational level are strongly encouraged.
The total budget for EUAF-2026 Technical Assistance is EUR 10,800,000, with grants starting from a minimum of EUR 100,000 up to a maximum of EUR 1,620,000, representing 15% of the available call budget.
Eligible applicants include national or regional public authorities, international organisations whose task is to protect EU financial interests, research and educational institutes, and non-profit entities that have been established and operating for at least one year. Applicants must be based in an EU Member State (including overseas countries and territories), a listed EEA country, or a country associated with or negotiating an association agreement with the EUAF Programme.
