Deadline Date: May 22, 2026
The Atlantic Canada Aquaculture Studio 2026 is a founder-focused program designed to help aquaculture companies accelerate growth, refine strategy, and scale effectively.
The program focuses on commercialization and go-to-market strategy, fundraising and investment readiness, industry access and ecosystem connectivity, and founder-level execution support.
The Atlantic Canada Aquaculture Studio is tailored for early and growth-stage companies that are ready to move faster and strengthen their position in the market. Delivered by Hatch Blue in partnership with Oceans Advance, the initiative combines global expertise with strong regional grounding in the Atlantic Canadian aquaculture ecosystem. It is designed as a practical support system rather than an academic course, directly addressing the real challenges companies face as they scale.
The nine-month program begins with an intensive two-week full-time studio, followed by ongoing structured support. Participating companies receive individualized mentorship through one-to-one sessions with industry leaders and the Hatch Blue team, ensuring guidance is aligned with their specific business needs.
A key component of the studio is its focus on investor readiness. Companies benefit from pitch development support and detailed investor-readiness analysis conducted by fund managers, helping them build strong and investable value propositions. In parallel, participants gain introductions to regional aquaculture leaders, strengthening their connections within Atlantic Canada’s industry landscape.
The program also provides access to a global network of investors, farmers, industry representatives, and early adopters. This exposure allows companies to test their strategies, refine their market approach, and engage with stakeholders who can support their growth journey. Additional support is provided in business strategy, product commercialization, and fundraising planning, helping founders translate innovation into viable market opportunities.
Throughout the program, founders work closely with mentors and industry experts, continuously refining their strategies and strengthening execution capabilities. The experience culminates in a final pitch day, where companies present to members of the aquaculture and investment community in Atlantic Canada.
Participation in the studio is fully funded, with no cost or equity requirement, making it an accessible opportunity for companies aiming to transition from promising ventures to scalable and investable businesses.
