Deadline Date: May 22, 2026
The Nordic Culture Fund’s Startup programme provides early-phase support for art and culture projects, helping promising ideas develop and strengthen their Nordic ambitions, with funding available up to 25,000 DKK and no requirement for co-financing.
The focus areas and objectives of Startup include fostering collaborative projects across Nordic countries, supporting the joint development of new cultural initiatives, and encouraging projects with a long-term vision for expanded Nordic participation. The programme is designed to help projects in the artistic and cultural field gain momentum and prepare for future growth.
Startup accepts applications from individuals, groups, institutions, associations, companies, and public or private organizations, including those outside the Nordic region, as long as the project demonstrates concrete collaboration with actors from at least two Nordic countries. Eligible activities must relate to art and culture, while projects outside these areas, school trips, participation in events, or ready-made projects are not supported.
Applications are assessed based on project content and Nordic relevance, including the project’s significance for the Nordic art and cultural scene, its anchoring within relevant environments, the mutual value for partners, and the appropriateness of its development stage, purpose, content, participation, method, and budget. Responses are typically provided within 30 working days.
