Applications are now open for the Scaling Slovak Innovation Program to support initiatives aimed at advancing innovative small-scale manufacturing solutions from the demonstration stage (TRL 7) to market adoption (TRL 8–9).
The grant targets activities and individuals in Slovakia who aspire to scale their solutions to European and global markets.
Through programs like the EIT Manufacturing – Slovakia – X Fund, the initiative facilitates the transfer of best practices and expertise to support digital transformation and drive innovation. By aligning with the Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization of the Slovak Republic 2021–2027, this program empowers Slovak innovations to compete internationally, contributing to a more innovative, competitive, and sustainable manufacturing sector.
Aims
- Scaling Slovak Innovation aims to:
- Accelerate Market Uptake: Facilitate the adoption of innovative ideas originating in Slovakia by providing funding to nurture and advance them.
- Foster Socio-Economic Impact: Promote the development of new ideas that can be seamlessly transformed into socio-economic value, shaping emerging markets and strengthening Europe’s manufacturing base.
- Expand the EIT Manufacturing Network: Support the growth of the EIT Manufacturing ecosystem by keeping successful participants informed about related activities, including events and Calls for Proposals. This engagement could lead to new partnerships and membership opportunities within EIT Manufacturing.

Funding Information
- The total funding available for this call is up to €80,000, with a maximum of €20,000 per application. Funding will be provided as a lump sum contribution, disbursed in two installments.
- While there is no co-funding requirement, any co-funding contributed by applicants will be viewed favorably during the evaluation process.
- Duration of the project: 7 months
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility Requirements for Applicants:
- Registration in Slovakia: Applicants must be registered in Slovakia.
- Legal Entities:
- All types of legal entities are eligible to apply, provided they have the capacity to commercialize products and services.
- Eligible entities include companies, universities, research and technology organizations (RTOs), and university-owned foundations.
- Joint Applications:
- Joint applications from groups of applicants are allowed. In such cases, a lead applicant must be designated to submit the application and represent the group.
- All group members will be jointly responsible and must comply with the conditions outlined in the guidelines.
