The Development Cooperation Fund of Lithuania is inviting applications under its Business Partnerships Programme in Developing Countries to promote international cooperation and sustainable economic development.
The focus areas of this programme include business partnerships between Lithuania and developing countries, sustainable economic development, economic growth, resilience building, transfer of innovative technologies and knowledge, job creation with high added value, and improved access to international funding sources.
The Business Partnerships Programme in Developing Countries aims to strengthen cooperation between companies in Lithuania and developing countries while contributing to global sustainable economic development and resilience building. It also supports innovation, investment, and knowledge transfer.
Applications are submitted in two stages through an electronic system. The first stage involves submission of a Business Idea Concept, Only selected applicants are invited to proceed to the second stage and submit a full project application.
The Business Idea Concept and the project application must both be completed in Lithuanian through the designated electronic submission system. Supporting documents and annexes specified in the funding terms and conditions must be attached as required.
The programme supports projects that promote business cooperation, transfer of technology and knowledge, investment activities, and creation of sustainable and high-value-added employment opportunities. It also facilitates access to international funding sources for participating entities.
Project implementation periods range from 4 to 24 months depending on project value. Projects up to or equal to EUR 50,000 may last up to 12 months, while projects above this threshold may last up to 24 months. Funding intensity is up to 70 percent for small and medium enterprises and up to 50 percent for large enterprises, with maximum funding of up to EUR 300,000.
Eligible applicants include companies registered in Lithuania, companies and organizations in developing countries, consortia involving Lithuanian and developing country partners, and non-governmental organisations, research institutions, and educational institutions engaged in commercially oriented cooperation. Applicants and partners must generally have at least three years of operational experience, except for start-ups developing innovative solutions.
