Applicants are now invited to submit applications for its 2nd Open Call for MASTER Project to attract the best candidates able to create educational content and validate the platform, as well as the technologies developed in the project, with students (schools or professional training services).
Pillars
- MASTER is based on 5 Pillars that group the innovation proposed:
- Pillar 1: An Open XR platform that integrates different OpenXR based components and allows an easy creation of content for robotics teaching by non-experts
- Pillar 2: The integration of safety and health at work aspects in the training programs through XR technologies
- Pillar 3: XR tools to facilitate the development of robotics applications and their control, in particular when dealing with collaborative robotic applications
- Pillar 4: To provide multimodal interaction mechanisms to improve the usability of XR systems
- Pillar 5: The delivery of a collection of educational content based on XR for learning robotics technology in manufacturing

Funding Information
- Total funding for 2nd OC: €2,400,000
- Maximum funding per application: € 100,000
- Duration: 9 months
Eligibility Criteria
- University/Research/Educational organisations.
- SMEs and/or large companies.
- Located in the EU Member States, Overseas Countries and Territories linked to the Member States and Third Countries associated to Horizon Europe.
- Beneficiaries
- Beneficiaries of the Open Call programme could be SMEs, large for-profit companies and institutions providing education or content creation services and that can guarantee the participation of the end users, namely any type of students. With these services they can ensure the validation of the MASTER technologies.
- Companies associated with the partners of MASTER can apply for the MASTER Open Call programme, with the exclusion of entities which are under common control (i.e. the same company management board).
- The micro-consortia are expected to be composed by a single or more entities, where at least one entity applying to the programme should be a non-profit educational institution as described above.
- There is the possibility to form a micro-consortium combining an education institution with an SME or large company, but the later must be partners and not coordinators.

- Soundness and pertinence of the project goals with the challenges proposed in the call.
- Credibility of the targeted technological, industrial, educational KPIs to measure the results.
- Concreteness of the technical approach and the methodology.
- Integrability in the open platform
- Impact
- Contribute to a significant improvement of sustainability and competitiveness.
- Contribution to the objectives of MASTER and hence to the European XR ecosystem.
- Credibility of impact KPI targets defined in the proposal.
- Implementation
- Soundness of the work plan, including relevance of the tasks and the timing of activities.
