Applications are now open for Oceans Stream Program to support startups and researchers developing technologies for the sustainable ocean economy through mentorship, scientific guidance and access to a global innovation network.
The program focuses on innovation areas including shipping and logistics, sustainable fishing and offshore aquaculture, marine resources and bio-products such as data, food, nutraceuticals, and pharmaceuticals, marine and sustainable energy innovations, naval and defense technologies, underwater acoustics and imaging, sensors, robotics and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), data technologies, and predictive analytics.
Participants receive focused mentorship from accomplished entrepreneurs and investors, technical guidance from leading scientists and engineers, personalized eight-week objectives to improve execution and strategy, and access to CDL’s international network of founders, researchers, and funders. There are no participation fees, and they do not take any equity from participating startups.
The Oceans Stream brings together experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and leading scientists from around the world who are active in the ocean industry. Startups selected for the program work with mentors to sharpen objectives, prioritize time and resources, raise capital, and engage with experts working at the forefront of ocean research and innovation. The program is designed to help participants accelerate growth and strengthen their business and technology strategies through structured objective-setting sessions held between September and June.
The stream is particularly suited for highly skilled and coachable entrepreneurs and researchers working in the ocean economy or involved in impactful oceanographic research. Early-stage companies, growth-stage ventures, and pre-incorporation projects are all eligible to apply, although startups at different stages of maturity may also be considered.
