The Innovation Hub at Carnegie Mellon University Africa has announced the opening of applications for startups and MSMEs to join the 2026 TechSkills Marketplace Program.
Registered and operational in Africa with a clear business model or product in development. Able to co-fund the internship. Able to provide projects focused on technology or digital innovation such as developing a digital platform, enhancing data systems, improving product design, or building AI-driven solutions etc. Committed to mentorship and collaboration, providing a supportive environment for graduate student interns. Open to remote or hybrid engagement models with interns from CMU-Africa.
The TechSkills Marketplace Program is designed to connect African startups with top CMU-Africa student talent who can support real-world technical challenges while developing future-ready innovators. The program offers startups the opportunity to access highly skilled interns in areas including artificial intelligence, data science, software engineering, and product development. Through this partnership, participating startups contribute to practical learning while advancing efforts that support Africa’s digital transformation.
This call for applications invites impact-driven startups that align with the program requirements and are ready to engage closely with student talent to strengthen their technological capabilities.
