Applications are now open for the Green Accelerator to provide comprehensive development support to (potential) start-ups that focus on innovative products or services that enhance the green revolution and contribute to solving environmental issues at the local level.
The number of start-ups developing green technologies in Estonia is quite large, but the potential of green technology start-ups as economic accelerators to support the mitigation of global (climate) problems and enhance the implementation of sustainable development goals has not been fully realized. By conducting the development accelerator program, they hope to increase the development and implementation of innovative green technologies at the local level and to support cooperation between local governments and companies in the testing and deployment of innovative green technologies.
For Startups
- The Green Accelerator training program aimed at start-ups starts in the spring, followed by cooperation and piloting of solutions with participating local governments.

- Development Accelerator Preliminary Program
- March – April 2024
- grant for a start-up company of €5,000
- Development Accelerator Core Program
- June – December 2024
- inkind €25,000
Criteria
- After the application, the jury will select up to 20 start-up companies during a closed discussion, which will be invited to participate in the preliminary program of the Development Accelerator.
- At least 5 of the 20 teams that participated in the preliminary program will be selected to go on to the main program.
