Deadline: October 05, 2025
The Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program is a two-month, cost-covered training program designed to equip aspiring nonprofit founders with the skills, resources, and funding to start field-leading charities.
The program provides the necessary training, co-founder matching, a well-connected and collaborative community, an evidence-based and cost-effective intervention idea, and seed funding to get started. Participants gain skills in evaluation, theory of change, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), cost-effectiveness analysis, and scientific evidence review. They also develop leadership skills such as strategic planning, prioritization, task management, productivity, pitching, and fundraising, alongside operations skills including financial planning, legal setup, human resources, working with stakeholders, pilot program design, and insights from top charities. The program emphasizes cost-effectiveness, convergent scientific evidence, and exceptional levels of expected impact.
The program has supported over 70 individuals worldwide in launching more than 50 impactful charities since 2018. Participants engage in 42 applied partner projects, video lectures, and discussion groups to develop all the foundational elements of their charity, from evidence review to a one-year plan and budget.
Every year, participants select from 5-6 high-impact intervention ideas identified by CE’s research team, ensuring that new charities address critical global needs efficiently. Alumni highlight the value of co-founder matching, where mentors help participants choose ideal partners to collaborate with throughout the program.
Founders receive a seed grant of up to $200,000 USD to launch their nonprofits, with over 80% of proposed interventions historically receiving funding within a week of graduation. The program also provides access to a global community of 100+ alumni, charity entrepreneurs, nonprofit professionals, funders, and advisors to support growth, scaling, and operational guidance.
Charity entrepreneurship through this program allows participants to achieve high social impact, equivalent to significant annual donations to top charities.
The program welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds who are motivated to make a substantial impact, embrace challenges, and work collaboratively. CE values potential over experience, supporting participants to rapidly build skills and confidence to start and scale effective charities.
