Deadline: October 21, 2025
The call for proposals titled “Support for energy research and development projects” announced by the Ministry of Energy through the National Research, Development and Innovation Office aims to encourage innovative energy technology developments that are missing from the domestic market.
The focus areas of the call include experimental development, applied (industrial) research, project coordination activities, public procurement activity, market entry, information, and industrial property protection activity.
The program supports enterprises with registered seats in Hungary or in the European Economic Area with a branch office in Hungary. Eligible business entities are those classified under GFO codes 113, 114, 116, 117, or 141 and maintaining double-entry accounting. The call offers non-refundable funding from a total budget of HUF 13 billion, with available funds per project ranging from HUF 100 million to HUF 600 million. Projects must have a duration of 24 to 48 months.
The submission of project proposals is exclusively electronic through the Single Sign-on system. The final proposal must include a signed declaration verifying the electronic submission as per guidelines. The deadline for submission is 21 October 2025 at 16:00, and proposals are accepted until available funds last. The call supports energy technology developments to improve competitiveness, align with EU climate goals, and strengthen Hungary’s energy sovereignty. It is part of a larger corporate innovation program under the Ányos Jedlik Energy Programme, aiming to foster exportable products and innovative solutions in line with EU Fit for 55 targets.
