Johannes Phumani Phungula (JPP) Local Municipality invites local entrepreneurs, informal traders, co-operatives, and SMMEs to apply for Grant Funding as part of their commitment to Local Economic Development (LED).
Purpose

- Enhance competitiveness through enterprise-driven development
Funding Information
- Tier 1: Informal & Micro Enterprises
- Funding range: R0 – R50,000
- For informal and micro businesses
- Tier 2: Small Enterprises
- Funding range: R50,001 – R150,000
- For small businesses ready to grow
- Tier 3: Medium Enterprises & High-Impact Projects
- Funding range: R150,001 – R300,000
- For registered businesses and co-operatives with job creation potential
Eligibility Criteria
- Businesses that:
- Operate within JPP Municipality
- Have a clear business plan or concept
- Can create or sustain jobs
- Are SARS compliant (if applicable)
- Are previously disadvantaged
Application Requirements
- Completed Application Form
- Business Plan or Motivation
- ID Copies of owners or members
- Informal Trading Permit (Tier 1)
- Business Registration Documents (Tier 2 & 3)
- Valid SARS Tax Pin (Tier 2 & 3)
- BBBEE Certificate or Affidavit (Tier 2 & 3)
- Business Bank Statements:
- Tier 2: Last 18 months
- Tier 3: Last 3 years
- Lease, Title Deed, or PTO (Tier 2 & 3)
- Signed Declaration of Interest (Tier 2 & 3)
- Quotations matching requested funding amount
- Sector or Environmental approvals (if applicable)
