The Administration for Community Living is seeking applications to identify and improve employer practices that lead to successful employment outcomes for people with disabilities.
The Rehabilitation Research and Training Centers (RRTCs) aim to strengthen services under the Rehabilitation Act through research, training, technical assistance, and dissemination in priority areas set by NIDILRR. This opportunity focuses on developing new evidence about employer practices that improve employment outcomes for people with disabilities, including inclusive recruitment, collaboration with vocational rehabilitation and community organizations, setting disability-inclusive hiring goals, and providing workplace accommodations.
This funding opportunity supports a single grant with a project period of 60 months divided into five 12-month budget periods. The estimated total program funding is $925,000, with an award ceiling of $925,000 and an award floor of $920,000 per budget period. The indirect cost rate is limited to 15 percent, and proposed indirect costs must not exceed this cap. Construction and major rehabilitation of buildings are not allowable costs under this award.
Eligible applicants include states; county, city, township, and special district governments; public and private organizations including nonprofit and for-profit entities; public and state-controlled and private institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments and tribal organizations; small businesses; and other qualified entities as described in the announcement. Faith-based and community organizations that meet eligibility requirements are also eligible.
Foreign entities and individuals, including sole proprietorships, are not eligible. Applications must be submitted in response to all program requirements, must be timely, must be fully responsive to the solicitation, must comply with format requirements, and must not exceed the budget or project period limits.
