The Agroanelixi Farmers of the Future programme offers to support farmers and small agri-food businesses in Greece to develop new products and strengthen their market presence.
The focus areas of this programme include agrifood business development, product innovation, regenerative agriculture, climate resilience, food innovation, export development, food safety, branding and standardisation, business model development, and digital and commercial skills for small producers.
This programme returns in 2026 for its seventh consecutive year and aims to empower farmers and small agrifood businesses across Greece. It focuses on supporting the transition from raw material production to high value-added product creation and strengthening competitiveness in local and international markets.
The initiative is implemented by the New Agriculture New Generation organisation with support from PPC and the Reale Foundation. It provides training, personalised consulting, mentoring, and practical guidance to help participants develop differentiated and export-oriented food products.
The programme specifically targets producers from Crete, islands, and remote areas of Greece, with selected participation slots allocated across these regions to improve access to support for underserved areas.
Participants take part in educational workshops and receive advisory support from experienced professionals, helping them build business knowledge, develop new products, improve branding, and strengthen commercial strategies.
The thematic areas include climate change and resilience, regenerative agriculture, water resource management, food innovation, labelling and safety, business model canvas, accounting, marketing, digital marketing, sales and export strategy, costing, and negotiations. Up to 15 agrifood businesses will be selected to participate, with no financial cost to participants.
