The SustainGov initiative under Impact Innovation invites collaborative implementation projects to transform public sector practices and improve health and well-being.
The focus areas of this initiative include complex care needs, inclusive society, food security, and a renewed relationship between residents and the public sector.
SustainGov supports implementation projects where multiple actors come together to test and refine new approaches to organizing, financing, governing, and collaborating within the public sector. These projects are expected to develop innovative ways of working, both internally within public institutions and in partnership with other sectors, to better address societal challenges and enhance outcomes for specific target groups.
The call encourages strong collaboration across sectors, requiring project groups to include at least three organizations drawn from the public sector, civil society, business, or academia. Among these, at least two must belong to the public sector, and the coordinating organization must be a municipality, region, or state agency. This structure ensures that projects remain grounded in public sector transformation while benefiting from diverse perspectives and expertise.
Selected projects can receive funding of up to SEK 4,000,000, covering a maximum of 80 percent of project costs. The initiative is designed for implementation over a period ranging from 12 to 24 months, allowing sufficient time to test, adapt, and refine innovative solutions in real-world settings.
Through this funding opportunity, SustainGov aims to strengthen collaboration, improve governance models, and create sustainable systems that enhance health and well-being, while also fostering a more responsive and inclusive public sector.
