Deadline Date: April 17, 2026
The Cambridge Social Innovation Prize celebrates and supports extraordinary social innovators creating meaningful social impact through business across the UK.
The prize focuses on supporting mid-career social innovators who have a proven track record of impact but could benefit from further professional development to take their work to the next level, helping them grow themselves in order to grow their social impact.
The Cambridge Social Innovation Prize offers up to four winners £10,000 each to invest in personal and professional development, including training, further study, specialist consulting, travel for new partnerships or inspiration, sabbaticals or research leave, and childcare or carer’s support to enable engagement in learning. Winners are also supported by mentoring from the Cambridge Social Ventures team at Cambridge Judge Business School, an expert business advisor for 6 to 12 months, and access to a community of outstanding social innovators for collaboration, strategic thinking, and networking.
Eligibility is aimed at individuals with 5 to 10 years of experience in social impact through business, whether as entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, or senior leaders in social enterprises, corporate social innovation projects, or public sector spinouts. Applicants should be UK-based or have a strong connection to the UK and demonstrate a commitment to creating positive social change. The prize is intended to support leadership and personal growth, not general business funding or salaries, and is designed for leaders driving social impact through business or self-generated revenue initiatives.
The prize money is awarded in September after an initial planning meeting with a business advisor in the summer, during which a tailored plan for using the funds is created and approved by the prize team. This structured support enables winners to scale the impact of their work, develop new projects, and pursue ambitious opportunities for social innovation.
