This Public Selection supports companies in advancing research, technological development and innovation through collaborative projects with scientific and technological institutions.
The initiative seeks to promote the development of technologies essential for the energy transition, in areas such as technologies for electricity generation, energy storage, low-carbon hydrogen, biofuels, biogas and biomethane, carbon capture.
Regarding funding, the amount requested must fall within defined limits depending on the arrangement type. For a Simple Arrangement, funding requests must range between R$ 5 million and R$ 20 million, while for a Network Arrangement, the range is between R$ 5 million and R$ 50 million. Although there is no maximum total project value, proposals that request funding outside these specified limits will be disqualified.
To be eligible, companies must be legal entities headquartered in Brazil and engaged in profit-oriented economic activities. Non-profit organizations, individual entrepreneurs, and micro-entrepreneurs are not eligible. The company must have been formally registered with the appropriate registry by December 31 of the year preceding the proposal submission and must have demonstrated operational activity within the previous 12 months through financial records.
Additionally, the company’s corporate purpose must align with the project activities, and its primary research and development operations related to the project must be located in Brazil. Financial capacity must also be demonstrated to ensure the ability to provide matching funds and meet financial evaluation requirements. Companies under the Inova Simples program are not eligible, as they do not possess legal personality.
