The Innovative Crafts and Trades funding program supports small businesses and founders with new ideas that strengthen neighborhood supply and improve business processes.
The program focuses on supporting investments such as construction measures, technical equipment and machinery, material and equipment costs, and licenses and concessions, along with services including external consulting costs, marketing measures, training of employees on new solutions by external service providers, and personnel costs.
This funding initiative aims to help small companies and new founders introduce innovative ideas that improve efficiency and enhance local supply systems. By supporting new measures and improved processes, the program encourages businesses to modernize their operations and develop fresh solutions for their communities.
Businesses can apply for funding for projects that involve upgrading infrastructure, purchasing technical equipment, or acquiring materials and tools required for new operational approaches. Support is also available for professional consulting, marketing initiatives, and employee training related to the implementation of new solutions and processes.
The program provides financial assistance with a maximum funding amount of 75,000 euros and requires a minimum project size of 20,000 euros. Projects funded under this program can run for a maximum duration of two years.
Eligible costs include personnel expenses, consulting services, marketing activities, material and equipment costs, licenses, concessions, construction measures, and training or qualification activities connected to the newly introduced solutions and processes.
The program is intended for small businesses with fewer than 50 employees and for founders based in Vienna. Eligible sectors include local supply companies in trade and craft, retail, catering, as well as book and media industries.
An advance payment of up to 50 percent of the approved funding amount may be provided as a prepayment to help businesses start their projects more easily.
