Deadline Date: July 15, 2026
The Clean Maritime Demonstration Grant 7 offers UK registered organisations an opportunity to secure funding for innovative clean maritime technologies.
The grant focuses on deployment trials, pre-deployment trials, and innovative feasibility studies, all aimed at advancing clean maritime technology, supporting the UK SHORE programme to transform the UK into a global leader in the design and manufacturing of clean maritime technology, and accelerating fuels and technologies required to decarbonise the maritime sector to meet net zero targets.
UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £121 million, provided by the Department for Transport through Innovate UK, subject to a sufficient number of high-quality applications. Projects must have total eligible costs between £100,000 and £1 million, last up to 12 months, start by 1 April 2027, and end by 31 March 2028. Funded organisations must carry out project work within the UK and intend to exploit project results from or in the UK. Projects can only start once the Grant Offer Letter from Innovate UK is approved, and start dates must always be the first of the month.
To lead a collaborative project, organisations must be UK registered businesses of any size and collaborate with other UK registered organisations. Applications must only include eligible project costs, and projects that do not receive the necessary approvals will be deemed ineligible and will not proceed to assessment.
