Deadline Date: March 31, 2026
The National Bank of Slovakia Foundation is inviting applications for grants to support small projects aimed at enhancing financial literacy across Slovakia.
The focus areas of the grant include increasing the level of financial literacy and the quality of financial education, promoting the recognition of reliable sources of information and resilience against disinformation and financial fraud, fostering cooperation between the public and private sectors to unify and expand financial literacy, and implementing short-term activities such as seminars, workshops, competitions, olympiads, conferences, publication creation, internships, and other similar initiatives.
The Foundation will provide financial support to the highest quality projects that align with these objectives, demonstrate cost-effectiveness and efficiency, are not linked to commercial financial institutions or products, and do not pose reputational risks. Eligible target groups for these projects include seniors and pensioners, primary and secondary school pupils, university students, young adults from child and family centers or re-education centers, marginalized groups, minorities, migrants and refugees, and other particularly vulnerable populations, including the health-disadvantaged, long-term unemployed, and individuals with limited knowledge of personal finance or poor experience with financial products.
The total funding available for this call is €30,000, with individual grants ranging from €1,000 to €5,000. Projects must be implemented between July 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026. Grants will be awarded exclusively to eligible applicants, including civic associations, foundations, non-profit organizations, registered social enterprises, church organizations, schools, universities, social service providers, and similar legal entities registered abroad, provided they meet specific legal, financial, and reputational requirements.
Applications will be evaluated based on their adherence to the purpose of the call, the potential benefits to the target groups, the effectiveness and economy of project expenditures, and the achievement of measurable project objectives. The Foundation reserves the right to reduce the grant amount based on project content or the number of selected projects, and submitting an application does not guarantee the award of a grant, as funding is only secured upon the conclusion of a Grant Agreement with the Foundation.
