BIC Africa Online Training Programme for Women Entrepreneurs (Tanzania)

Deadline Date: March 10, 2026

The BIC Africa Online Training Programme is now accepting applications to support selected women entrepreneurs from Tanzania and Zanzibar who are looking to scale their businesses.

The programme focuses on strengthening business skills and capacities, building knowledge in business modelling and financial management, developing leadership skills, improving the ability to effectively pitch a business, exploring growth and scaling trajectories, providing practical tools and strategies for business development, connecting participants with sectorial, local and international experts, facilitating exchange with experienced women entrepreneurs, and building networks through a community of women entrepreneurs and international innovation networks.

The programme aims to support around twenty selected women entrepreneurs by providing an opportunity to enhance their entrepreneurial capabilities and expand their business knowledge. Participants will gain insights into important areas of business development and will have the opportunity to interact with experienced experts in entrepreneurship and business from Africa, Europe, and other regions.

Through the training sessions, participants will learn practical tools and strategies tailored to their businesses and will be able to apply these approaches directly to their operations. The programme also encourages entrepreneurs to explore growth opportunities and identify pathways for scaling their businesses and solutions.

Participants will have opportunities to engage directly with experts and access sector-specific, local, and international networks. The programme also connects participants with BIC Africa and the European Business Innovation Centre Network, creating additional opportunities for collaboration, learning, and knowledge exchange.

The programme is free to attend and participants who attend at least five sessions will receive a digital certificate. In addition, participants will become part of a vibrant community of women entrepreneurs where they can learn, exchange experiences, and build meaningful connections.

To be eligible, applicants must be women founders, co-founders, or CEOs of a startup or company and must be at least eighteen years old. Applicants should have a good working knowledge of the English language, which should be demonstrated through the use of English in the application process. The business must already exist, be registered, generate revenue, and be based in mainland Tanzania or Zanzibar. Businesses should also have visibility through a website or social media channels.

Preferably, the business should have been registered for at least one year, have an operational team, and demonstrate potential for scalability.
