Deadline Date: March 16, 2026
The Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova is inviting applications to support associative structures of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Moldova’s agri-food sector to develop sustainable, climate-smart, and EU-aligned value chains.
The focus areas of this initiative include creating and consolidating sustainable agri-food value chains through associative SME structures, promoting climate-smart solutions in agriculture, modernising production and processing practices, supporting organic farming and integrated production systems, and prioritising the development of seed sector value chains such as corn, sorghum, industrial hemp, and cover crops while encouraging drought- and flood-resistant varieties.
The funding, provided under the Team Europe Initiative “Sustainable Agri-Food Systems” and implemented by Solidarity Fund PL in cooperation with partner organisations, addresses both for-profit SME associations that carry out direct economic activities and professional/representative associations that provide coordination, training, and sectoral support. The total call budget is EUR 250,000, with a maximum grant of EUR 50,000 per project, targeting up to five initiatives, including at least two for-profit SME associations.
Eligible applicants include associative structures of SMEs with commercial purposes that are legally registered as Entrepreneurial Cooperatives or recognized Producer Groups, operate in the seed sector or organic farming, have at least five active members, a minimum of one year of demonstrable experience in value chain development, and the administrative capacity to manage the grant. For professional/representative SME associations, eligibility requires legal registration as a Professional Association, Federation, or NGO, representation of at least ten active SMEs from three distinct districts, a minimum of three years of experience in capacity building, standardisation, coordination, or previous project implementation, and no prior overlapping grant funding in the last two management years.
This call prioritises initiatives that enhance climate resilience, strengthen the competitiveness of Moldova’s agri-food SMEs, support collective production and marketing, and foster collaboration across the sector to ensure long-term food security and sustainable rural development.
