Deadline Date: March 31, 2026
The MEDTECH Hospital Incubator Program aims to foster the development and market entry of cutting-edge healthcare solutions that improve patient care and hospital operations.
The main focus areas of the program include digital health technologies, development of hospital care delivery and supporting processes, medical instruments and diagnostics, and patient-centered solutions such as education and empowerment. The program seeks to support clinical technological, procedural, care-coordination, and related inventions, solutions, marketable best practices, and ideas that go beyond traditional patient care in hospitals and other healthcare institutions.
The program is designed to advance solutions to the prototype stage or to market entry in cooperation with hospitals and other healthcare service providers, helping them secure substantial additional capital investment required to reach the scale-up phase. By enhancing the standard, efficiency, and quality of healthcare services, the initiative ultimately aims to increase patient satisfaction and optimize hospital and care delivery operations.
The total budget for the MEDTECH Hospital Incubator Program is HUF 2,000,000,000, with individual projects eligible to receive funding between HUF 800 million and 1 billion, and project durations ranging from 36 to 42 months. Through these initiatives, the program encourages the creation of solutions that can meaningfully transform healthcare delivery while supporting innovation-driven growth in the sector.
Eligible applicants for this program are individual legal entities with a registered office in Hungary or within the European Economic Area with a branch office in Hungary. Applicants may include early-stage investors (incubators) with a proven track record of at least 10 incubation or acceleration projects, newly established enterprises building on the professionals of such entities or sole proprietors with significant ownership and management experience in health-related innovations. The program also sets requirements for ownership structure, including limitations on non-profit and large enterprise ownership shares, and additional conditions for classification and accounting practices.
