Deadline Date: March 25, 2026
The Innovate UK is now accepting grant applications to strengthen projects that expand clean energy access in ODA-eligible countries across sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, the Indo-Pacific, and Latin America.
The competition aims to accelerate innovations that enable a just and inclusive energy transition, extending the benefits of clean energy to communities in developing regions and contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By supporting innovative projects, the program seeks to address energy access challenges and help drive sustainable economic and social development in these regions.
Eligible projects must have total costs ranging from £50,000 to £300,000 and run for a duration of three to twelve months. Each project should directly contribute to improving clean energy access in the targeted regions and must involve a UK-registered administrative lead. International organizations applying must partner with a UK administrative lead.
Projects must also include at least one micro, small, or medium-sized enterprise (SME) from anywhere in the world, ensuring collaboration and innovation across borders. This funding opportunity offers a unique chance for organizations, startups, and SMEs to develop impactful energy solutions, foster global partnerships, and accelerate the transition to a sustainable and inclusive energy future.
