Deadline Date: March 04, 2026
The S+T+ARTS Prize 2026 invites artists and creative teams to submit completed or advanced projects that explore innovative intersections between science, technology, and the arts.
The prize focuses on artistic innovation at the interface of science, technology, and the arts, completed or implementation-stage projects, international collaboration, artistic and technological excellence, real-world applicability, diversity of submissions, and recognition of visionary work through awards, exhibitions, and public presentation.
Prize-winning artists will receive €20,000, paid by direct bank transfer after the Ars Electronica Festival 2026 upon submission of the required invoice and tax documentation. Award recipients are expected to attend the awards ceremony in person during the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, and selected works may be exhibited or presented as part of the festival program. Eligible projects must not be older than two years unless they demonstrate significant updates or further development within that period.
The open call period runs from January 7, 2026, to March 4, 2026, during which submissions can be made through the official online platform. Jury sessions will take place in mid-April 2026, with projects reviewed by an international panel of experts from the fields of art, science, and business. Finalists, prize winners, and honorary mentions will be notified by mid-May 2026. The S+T+ARTS Prize employs a dual submission approach, combining open calls with recommendations from international advisors to encourage diversity and global participation. Eligible projects are evaluated by the S+T+ARTS Prize Jury, which selects finalists and determines prize recipients. The jury’s decision is final.
