Deadline Date: April 30, 2026
The Rapid Response grant, part of the Stronger Communities Program, provides quick financial support to help community groups address urgent needs or strengthen their operations.
The grant’s focus areas include improving organisational systems and practices, boosting resilience and the ability to deliver services, and responding to urgent priorities affecting the Redland City community.
Funding is available from $500 to $3,000. Eligible applicants must be not-for-profit incorporated entities or registered under an Act of Parliament, hold an active ABN or complete a Statement by Supplier form, be financially viable, maintain Public Liability Insurance of $20 million, and have a bank account in the name of the legal entity. Individuals may apply only for conservation activities, provided they are registered wildlife carers with the Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation or equivalent, have been active carers for at least 12 months, and comply with the relevant Code of Practice for the care of protected animals. All projects must be based in and delivered within Redland City.
Applicants are limited to one successful application per year, except in cases related to disaster management or community resilience. Multiple applications for the same project must be consolidated into a single submission, and applicants who have received funding for three consecutive years are less likely to be prioritised.
Certain applicants are ineligible for funding, including government or semi-government bodies, schools and educational institutions, for-profit businesses or commercial ventures, childcare and after-school care providers, political parties or lobby groups, industry bodies without direct community benefit, and organisations with more than 20 gaming machines.
