The Swedish Energy Agency is announcing approximately SEK 30 million to support research and innovation projects in the heating and cooling sector aimed at strengthening security of supply
The call focuses on strengthening the security of supply in heating and cooling, reinforcing the resilience and robustness of the energy system, advancing knowledge and skills development to increase understanding of related risks and threats, identifying and developing strategies to manage these risks and threats, and supporting research and innovation projects that develop technology, services, products and solutions that enhance the resilience and robustness of the heating and cooling system.
There is a clear need to strengthen the resilience and robustness of the energy system. Through this funding opportunity, the Swedish Energy Agency seeks to address vulnerabilities and improve the ability of the heating and cooling sector to respond to risks and threats.
The call supports both research and innovation projects. It aims not only to expand knowledge and understanding, but also to encourage the development of practical solutions that can reinforce the heating and cooling system.
The Swedish Energy Agency invites applications from universities and colleges, research institutes, the public sector, companies that are legal entities, and other legal entities. By opening the call to a broad range of actors, the agency seeks to promote comprehensive and impactful project outcomes.
To increase the utilization of project results, the Swedish Energy Agency encourages collaboration between academia or research institutes and various actors, including companies, the public sector, and other relevant stakeholders.
