Deadline Date: April 21, 2026
The European Commission is requesting grant applications to advance research and innovation efforts focused on evaluating the added value of innovative integrated healthcare solutions within modern healthcare systems.
The focus areas of the program include enabling seamless implementation of cross-sectoral innovations and integrated healthcare solutions, improving patient access to innovations, supporting better-informed decision-making for resource allocation, accelerating market entry of cost-effective solutions, strengthening the competitiveness of the health industry, advancing European technological leadership and digital transformation, supporting multinational clinical research and innovation ecosystems, promoting innovation-responsive regulation, improving health technology assessment methodologies, developing and adopting innovative HTA approaches, enhancing dissemination and education for unified HTA expertise, and supporting the uptake of innovative medical devices and diagnostics.
This funding opportunity aims to support pre-competitive research and innovation that develops new tools, methods, and technologies to improve the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases while enabling more efficient recovery. Projects are expected to harness new scientific and technological advances to deliver solutions that can be integrated into healthcare systems and industrial processes.
Applicants must form collaborative public-private partnership consortia that reflect the cross-sectoral and integrative nature of healthcare innovation. Proposals should address unmet public health needs, considering disease burden, economic impact, or transformative innovation potential beyond individual disease areas. In addition, proposals are expected to inform regulatory science approaches and demonstrate the ability to translate research into practical and implementable solutions within healthcare ecosystems.
Applicants are also required to conduct a landscape analysis to avoid duplication of existing efforts and identify opportunities for collaboration and synergy with ongoing initiatives. The program provides funding under a single-stage process, with a total budget of €9,800,000 and project funding ranging from €5,000,000 to €9,800,000.
Eligibility is open to any legal entity, including organizations from non-associated countries and international organizations, provided they meet the requirements outlined under the Horizon Europe framework and the specific call conditions.
