Deadline Date: June 30, 2026
The Biz Secure program offers Northern Territory businesses funding to improve the safety and security of their premises against break-ins.
The program focuses on helping businesses protect their premises by funding standard and non-standard security upgrades, including lock works and hardware, glass replacement with secure alternatives, duress alarms, outdoor security and sensor lighting, security screens, lockable fencing, CCTV, access key fobs, smoke blankets, and landscaping, with all non-standard works requiring a security audit and recommendation through the program.
Northern Territory businesses can apply for multiple security upgrades per premises, with a funding cap of $15,000 (GST exclusive) per location. Standard works include essential security measures, while non-standard works require professional assessment to ensure targeted security improvements.
Eligible applicants must be Territory Enterprises, landowners, or bodies corporate under the Unit Titles Act 1975, hold a valid Australian business number, own or lease premises in the NT, have at least one Territory Enterprise actively trading from the premises, and be fully compliant with all relevant legal obligations.
This program ensures that businesses have the financial support to make their premises safer and more secure, potentially reducing the risk of theft, damage, or other security incidents. By providing funding for both common and specialized security upgrades, Biz Secure aims to enhance overall business resilience in the Northern Territory.
