The BRIDGE2HORIZON program is inviting proposals to support Cypriot research and innovation institutions in enhancing collaboration, scientific impact, and participation in European research projects.
The objectives of the program include strengthening the capacities of Cypriot R&I institutions, promoting scientific excellence in thematic areas aligned with the Smart Specialization Strategy (SSS) for Cyprus 2023-2030, addressing EU thematic priorities and challenges within Horizon Europe Work Programmes, increasing coordination of collaborative projects, and enhancing the leadership of Cypriot institutions in pan-European cooperation networks in Pillar II – Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness, as well as the European Missions of Horizon Europe.
The budget of €500,000 is exhausted, with a maximum funding of €100,000 per project. Proposals must be submitted through the IRIS portal, and the program is co-financed by the Republic of Cyprus and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Operational Programme “THALYA” 2021-2027.
Eligible applicants include research organizations, companies, and other entities, while research organizations, businesses, and other bodies may participate as collaborating bodies. Each collaboration network must include at least one enterprise (Cat. B) and one research organization (Cat. A).
To facilitate partnerships between research organizations and businesses, HRIF provides tools such as the MatchMe Program and the RIF Partner Search tool, enabling interested parties to connect and form collaborative project networks efficiently.
