Deadline Date: March 08, 2026
The Community Celebration Grant is currently accepting applications to support community groups to deliver celebration events that promote inclusion, celebrate cultural diversity, and build connections across Redland City.
The grant focuses on inclusive and connected communities by supporting initiatives that bring people together and celebrate diversity and heritage, stronger social cohesion by encouraging participation and engagement to build a sense of belonging, and vibrant community life by creating opportunities for shared celebrations that strengthen cultural identity and community spirit.
Funding is available up to $15,000, and events must be delivered within Redland City. Eligible applicants must be not‑for‑profit incorporated entities or registered under an Act of Parliament, hold an active ABN or complete a Statement by a Supplier form, be financially viable, maintain Public Liability Insurance of $20 million, and have a bank account in the name of the legal entity.
Only one successful application per year is permitted, and where multiple applications are submitted for the same project across any Council program or category, the applicant must select one application for consideration. If an applicant has received a successful application for three consecutive years, it is less likely to be prioritised for funding.
Certain entities are not eligible to apply for this grant. Individuals are ineligible, as are government or semi‑government organisations such as hospitals and libraries, schools and education institutions including P&Cs, childcare and after‑school care providers, political parties and lobby groups, industry bodies without direct community and economic benefit, and organisations with outstanding debts or overdue Council grant acquittals. Organisations that are religious or industry peak bodies may be eligible only where the project demonstrates broad community benefits primarily outside the membership of the organisation.
