Deadline Date: May 10, 2026
The 2026 Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) opens opportunities for young entrepreneurs in Africa and the Middle East to scale their startups and deliver innovative solutions that benefit their communities and the planet.
The initiative focuses on recognizing innovative solutions that address real community needs using AI, data, or cybersecurity technologies, promoting entrepreneurship among founders of startups operating for less than five years, and fostering positive social and environmental impact through digital innovation.
The OSVP offers awards to accelerate impact, including €25,000 for the overall winner, €15,000 for second place, €10,000 for third place, and €20,000 specifically for the Women’s Prize. The program encourages participation from young entrepreneurs, founders, or co-founders of startups in 17 participating countries across Africa and the Middle East where Orange operates, emphasizing inclusivity, innovation, and community-driven solutions.
This year, the selection process is designed to be participatory and inclusive, with projects reviewed by Orange employees via the Orange Engage for Change internal engagement platform. The competition unfolds in two stages, beginning with a national selection in each country, followed by an international round where the national winners compete for the top prizes.
Applicants are expected to present digital solutions that demonstrate tangible benefits for people and the planet, reflecting the program’s commitment to using technology for social good. The OSVP provides not only financial awards but also visibility, networking, and mentorship opportunities to help young ventures scale and maximize their impact across their communities.
