Are you aged between 18 and 35 and you like to venture into agriculture? Are you already into agribusiness and would like to learn new skills to optimise your income? This Youth in Agribusiness (YAS) Training Program is for you.
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in partnership with Bopinc and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands seeks to provide youths between the ages of 18 and 35 with the required entrepreneurship skills to expand existing agribusiness enterprise (accelerators) or venture into agribusiness (incubators).
The partnership through the initiative – Youth in Agribusiness: Enabling scaling of innovative technologies for sustainable food solutions (YAS) project will provide technical and business training for participants.
Criteria
- This application is open to youths who want to explore and venture into agribusiness (incubators) and those with existing agribusiness enterprise but require additional skills for their business expansion and growth (accelerators).
- Participants will be trained in the value chains of
- Yam
- Poultry
- Cassava
- Maize
- Soybean
- Horticulture
- Groundnut
- Aquaculture
