Deadline: October 15, 2025
UNITAR and BADEA invite women and youth agripreneurs from Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe to participate in Phase III of the coaching and mentoring programme.
Focus Areas: Helping entrepreneurs move from planning to practical action – turning their business concepts into climate-smart, market-ready enterprises; practical coaching and mentoring to build growth road maps, improve market engagement, develop financial strategies, pitch for investment, operationalize ideas, expand market reach, and contribute to local job creation and economic resilience.
Phase III of the UNITAR-BADEA Accelerating Sustainable and Climate Resilient Livelihoods Through Development of Small and Medium Agribusiness Enterprises for Women and Youth programme focuses on helping participants implement and scale their agribusiness ideas. Unlike earlier phases that focused on foundational skills, this phase emphasizes practical action and enterprise growth.
The four-week, fully online programme combines interactive sessions, one-on-one mentoring, peer learning, and practical assignments. Participants will refine business plans, develop cash-flow forecasts, build market strategies, and present pitches for scaling their ventures. The training is offered free of charge, thanks to BADEA’s support, and will be delivered in English. Those who complete all programme requirements will receive a UNITAR Certificate of Completion.
The programme is open exclusively to women and youth who participated in Phases I and II and are ready to implement or scale their business plans. Applicants must have reliable internet access and demonstrate commitment to completing all components of the programme.
UNITAR and BADEA have collaborated since 2022 to strengthen agribusiness capacities and climate-resilient livelihoods in Africa. Through sustained training and financial support, the programme empowers women and young people to develop the skills, confidence, and networks needed to grow their enterprises, thereby contributing to inclusive and sustainable agricultural growth.
