Deadline: November 15, 2025
The Swedish Energy Agency is inviting Swedish small and medium-sized companies to register their interest in the India–Sweden Innovations’ Accelerator (ISIA), a program designed to accelerate solutions in the Indian market.
The focus of the opportunity is on companies with high energy relevance, meaning a product or business model that has the potential to contribute to the transition to a sustainable energy system. Applicants should have a business plan or strategy that clearly prioritizes the Indian market, with at least an initial idea for market entry already developed. They must also demonstrate sufficient personnel and financial resources to manage internationalization alongside their regular operations. In addition, eligible companies are expected to have proven technology and intellectual property rights for their product or solution, and must qualify as a small or medium-sized enterprise according to the EU definition.
India is one of the fastest-growing economies globally, yet the country still depends heavily on fossil fuels despite its strong renewable energy potential. The ISIA aims to bridge this gap by enabling Swedish companies to introduce new technologies to support a sustainable energy system and accelerate climate action. Expressions of interest are accepted on an ongoing basis, with the next assessment round deadline being November 15, 2025, for the Spring 2026 intake.
The program spans 18 months and includes three trips to India as part of a Swedish cleantech delegation, export coaching, and pre-booked B2B meetings with Indian companies and stakeholders. Participating companies also benefit from broad market exposure, marketing support including a three-minute introductory film, access to Swedish export financiers, and guidance from the Swedish Patent and Registration Office. Alumni engagement continues after program completion, offering opportunities to stay active in relevant activities through the Swedish Energy Agency, Business Sweden, and the Confederation of Indian Industry.
