National Design Business Incubator (NDBI) is a Business Incubator hosted at National Institute of Design and supported by Department of Science Technology, Government of India and Department for Promotion of Industry Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce Industry, Government of India. It is also one of the Nodal Institute for implementing Govt. of Gujarat Startup/Innovation Policy.
The purpose of NDBI is to nurture a culture of entrepreneurship in the creative minds of young designers so that their ideas metamorphose into newer and niftier products or services capable of being utilized commercially.

Eligibility Criteria
- Any startup, which qualifies as a startup as per the definition of the Government of India is eligible to apply for NDBI.
- Startup should be registered as a private limited, LLP or registered Partnership Company. If, at the time of selection, startup is not registered, it gets three months to complete the formalities
- Startup date of incorporation should not be more than 10 years old
- Startup’s turnover for any financial year since incorporation and registration should not have exceeded Rs. 100 crore
- Startup should be working on innovation, development or improvement of products or processes or services
- Startup should not be formed by splitting up or reconstruction of an existing business
- Startup should be at-least at a Prototype or MVP stage.
