The Digital Loop Accelerator is an ambitious initiative designed to create and support 10 new startups in the field of circular economy within Albania.
The focus is on a startup studio that selects 10 startup teams and creates 10 new Albanian Circular Economy startups. Apply as a startup team and get up to €47K in grants, and finish with a revenue+ circular economy startup.
The program at a glance creates 10 new startups along five (5) most popular circular economy business models, called Digital Loops. Create your own revenue-generating startup in 4 steps and 4 months: apply as a team, select 1 Digital Loop, get up to €47K grant, and build your startup.
Eligibility to apply includes anyone, literally anyone, with no startup or prior experience needed. You don’t need an existing startup or prior work/startup experience, a path-breaking idea or revolutionary technology, nor any idea of circular business models.
What you need is a team of 2+, with sales & marketing skills preferred, select 1 of 5 Digital Loops or suggest your own, and provide an execution plan for the chosen Digital Loop.
Digital Loops are popular tech and business model combinations around which most of the world’s circular economy startups are built. One example is Digital Loop 4, which involves selling soon-to-expire food items at a discount around the closing hours of the day.
The program requires minimum 2 people per startup team, runs for 4 months, selects 10 startup teams, and offers up to €47K in grants. There will be at least 6 webinars and seminars to explain the concepts with case studies and answer participant doubts.
The Digital Loop Accelerator provides an inclusive opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs with or without prior experience. The program is designed to guide participants in building sustainable, revenue-generating startups aligned with the principles of the circular economy. By combining grant support, structured mentorship, and dynamic business models called Digital Loops, it ensures that new ventures are equipped for long-term growth.
Participants embark on a four-month journey that includes selecting a defined Digital Loop, executing their startup idea, and leveraging collective knowledge through webinars and workshops. With structured guidance and financial support, the program opens doors for individuals with innovative execution plans, regardless of their prior exposure to entrepreneurship.
Beyond grants and training, the accelerator emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and sustainable impact. It provides tools, networking opportunities, and real-world case studies to empower teams in addressing pressing environmental and economic challenges.
The initiative reflects a broader strategy to strengthen Albania’s entrepreneurial ecosystem while aligning with European and international commitments toward sustainable economic growth.
