The Business Victoria has announced its Business Skills Mentoring Program to provide up to 1,000 eligible small business owners with 3 one-hour mentoring sessions to be used within 3 months.
The initiative aims to help existing businesses build their capacity, overcome challenges, and pursue opportunities for innovation, investment, and growth. By providing tailored mentoring and guidance, the program seeks to strengthen the skills of business owners and enhance the resilience and competitiveness of their enterprises.
The program is open to small business owners with 0–20 employees who are registered in Victoria and have a GST registration. Eligible businesses must also hold an active Australian Business Number (ABN) continuously from 1 December 2024. The program specifically targets six industry sectors: advanced manufacturing and defence, health technologies and medical research, circular economy, digital technologies, agribusiness, and regional tourism.
Businesses that do not operate within these six sectors are not eligible to participate. However, owners of ineligible businesses are encouraged to subscribe to the Business Victoria newsletter and explore the Business Victoria website for updates on other available programs, business advice, and resources.
This program offers an important opportunity for small business owners in Victoria to strengthen their capabilities, access expert guidance, and position their businesses for continued growth and success in a competitive environment.
