Submissions open for Prakriti Incubation Launchpad (India)

The key problem or concern that has been witnessed in the sustainability and circular economy space is that new business ventures are not so easily able to scale and attract investments as compared to their peers from the technology space. Early-stage startups in the circular economy and sustainability sectors face several bottlenecks that hinder their ability to attract investments, scale operations and bring their innovations to market.

The program has been designed specifically to address these issues and facilitate startups/enterprises in this space with product development, supply chain integration, funding, market connects and networking opportunities to facilitate market adoption and enhance commercial viability. Capacity-building initiatives such as mentorship, networking and knowledge-sharing platforms can equip startups with the expertise needed to scale sustainably.

IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP) as the implementing partner will work closely with the Pernod Ricard India Foundation (PRIF) team throughout the program’s lifecycle. IIMCIP with its incubation expertise shall lead the program right from the selection process of the suitable startups with scalable business models. They will assess the market & investment readiness of the startups at different stages, provide mentoring support to address challenges, offer guidance for product development, customer identification and pricing strategy for the startups to eventually grow and expand their businesses successfully.

Program Benefits

    • Outreach, Selection and Diagnostics Boot Camp 1 (2 months)
    • Incubation Stage 1 – Cohort of 10 (3 months)
    • Incubation Stage 2 – Cohort of 5 (6 months)

Eligibility Criteria

• The program is for early stage revenue startups/enterprises.
• Startup must be in the space of Circular Economy, Plastic & Glass Recycling, Sustainable Indigenous Products (E.g. Agarwood, Bamboo, Water Hyacinth, Local Spices and Aromatic Plants Processing etc), Green Manufacturing
• Startups should have a market ready product (MVP).
• The applicant should be a citizen of India.
• Business should be operational in the North East Region of India.
