SHITIJ is a one-month startup incubation program designed to support early-stage innovators by providing a focused, immersive, and virtual incubation experience aimed at creating impact in agriculture.
The program focuses on plant protection and precision agriculture, while its core objectives include a one month virtual incubation program, business and technical mentoring, access to infrastructure and facilities, pilot opportunities and market linkages, industry connect, and facilitation for grants and funding. SHITIJ is structured to bring together innovators working in the agriculture sector and guide them through an intensive incubation journey. The program emphasizes learning, collaboration, and sector-specific mentorship to help participants strengthen their ideas and solutions within a defined timeframe.
Through targeted business and technical mentoring, participants receive support to refine their concepts, improve product readiness, and better understand sector challenges related to plant health and precision agriculture. The virtual format allows startups to engage deeply with mentors and experts while remaining accessible to participants across locations. The program also enables access to infrastructure and facilities, along with opportunities for pilot implementation and market linkages. These elements are intended to help startups validate their solutions in real-world settings and connect with relevant industry stakeholders.
SHITIJ is open to Indian citizens who are passionate about contributing to agriculture and are working on agri-startups with a prototype or minimum viable product. By focusing on early-stage ideas, the program aims to nurture innovation and support startups in becoming funding-ready.
