Saamarthya 5.0 – Growth Incubation Program for Healthcare Startups (India)

Deadline: 5-November-2025

IIHMR Startups has launched Saamarthya 5.0, the fifth cohort of its flagship four-month growth incubation program designed to accelerate high-potential startups in the healthcare sector.

The focus areas for the program include Telehealth & Telemedicine (Detection, Diagnostics, Chronic Disease Management), Digital Therapeutics & New Business Models (Subscription-based Chronic Disease Management, Novel ideas to address Emerging Healthcare Issues, Back Office/Admin Tools), Wellness & Organic Products (Organic or Healthy Food, Wellness & Lifestyle, Alternative Medication, Health Education), Tele-led innovations in Healthcare (Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality, AI/NLP, Blockchain), Medical Tourism Healthcare Analytics (Clinical Trial Tech/Site less Clinical Studies, Drug Discovery, Integrated Clinical Management with AI), mHealth (Wearables, Medical Devices, Apps), and Billing & Fintech (Insure tech – AI Driven Assistance, Patient Side Payment Solutions, Alternate Payments and Insurance Models).

This four-month program, extendable up to six months for high-potential startups, is designed for early-stage entrepreneurs or post-MVP healthcare startups that have started generating revenue and are seeking to scale their ventures. It provides deep healthcare and business knowledge, a supportive network, and structured mentorship to help startups refine business models, gain traction, and become investment-ready. Eligible applicants include registered entities such as Private Limited companies, Partnerships, or LLPs working in healthcare and wellness and solving critical national or social problems in innovative, transformational ways.

Participants in the program receive access to grant and funding support, pilot or market survey opportunities, investor connections, and mentoring from industry experts. They also benefit from startup support services worth USD 20,000 from partners such as Digital Ocean, Razorpay, Qapita, Arthayan, Freshworks, Vakilsearch, and Divegen, along with infrastructure and co-working space at IIHMR Startups. The program further offers business development assistance, networking and partnership opportunities, and help with intellectual property registration.

The incubation journey includes business acceleration workshops covering modules such as Business Model and Value Proposition Canvas, Storytelling and Art of Pitching, Clinical Trials and Certifications, Go-to-Market Strategy, Brand Positioning, Digital Marketing, IPR and Legal Aspects, Talent Management, Financial Modelling, Valuation, Deal Structuring, and Investor Readiness. Dedicated mentoring and frequent pitch sessions ensure startups are well-prepared for investment.
